Our brand
Cannabus is a hemp house, not a skincare label.
One brand covers three very different buyers: the customer reaching for a body butter, the salon ordering back-bar, and the contractor specifying a wall system. The through-line is the plant and the paperwork behind it.
Why hemp
Hemp is not marijuana. The law is specific about it.
Industrial hemp and marijuana are the same species. The legal line is THC content, not appearance. Hemp grown under permit sits below the regulated threshold and is cultivated for seed, fibre and non-intoxicating extracts.
Nothing in our cosmetics range is intoxicating. The hempseed oil doing the work in our body butters is pressed from seed and carries no meaningful cannabinoid content — its value is the fatty acid profile, roughly 3:1 linoleic to alpha-linolenic, close to what the skin barrier favours.
Where we use broad-spectrum CBD — the hair butter and beard oil — it is declared on the label, registered, and traceable to a batch certificate of analysis.

Sustainability
The environmental case is the commercial case.
Carbon absorbing
Hempcrete continues to take up CO₂ as the lime binder cures in the wall.
Low water
Hemp needs a fraction of the irrigation cotton demands for comparable fibre yield.
Biodegradable
Undyed hemp textile and hempcrete both return to the ground without treatment.
Whole-plant use
Seed to cosmetics, bast fibre to fabric, shiv to bricks. Little is wasted.
